The new year has begun, and no doubt many are struggling to maintain resolutions.

2007 holds many big questions for global leaders. The war on terrorism continues to drag its muddy feet all over the political stage, and the gloomy cloud of global warming will overshadow every decision made on the world stage. A friend of mine has concerns about the sleeping giant that is China, based on the theory that the disproportionately male population created by restrictive laws regarding reproduction has resulted in an army of colossal strength, though I would be inclined to doubt the accuracy of such speculation.

Fears regarding North Korea’s Nuclear Weapons tests continue, and the general question of nuclear power is at the fore closer to home. Also in domestic politics, a NSW state election looms, and a voting public disillusioned with a rotten-to-the-core government will have their anger heard. John Howard’s government may seek to extend the power it has over Australians with more radical legislation.

All in all it doesn’t look to be a brilliant year ahead, but lets just see how things unfold.

This is Unconfirmed Developments, written by AFACI and Sredni.

This blog is meant as a way to explore the big questions, as well as some of the smaller ones. We hope to range from philosophical questions and problems to current events and politics to music.
